Soft-tip Technology
Electronic dartboards with soft-tip technology are made from sturdy plastic with pre-molded holes. When the dart enters the target, it interacts with a position sensor built into the target to calculate the score. The electronic dartboard score counter displays how many points are remaining. Soft dartboards are used by players of all ages, but the plastic tips of the darts make the game safer and more suitable for younger players than steel-tip versions. Accurate and precise scoring
Electronic dartboards have position sensors that detect the position of the dart when it lands on the board. When the dart lands in one of the pre-shaped holes in the board, the sensor is activated and automatically counts the points and calculates the score.
This is a great feature because you don’t have to worry about adding or subtracting points and you can just focus on the game. This is especially useful for teenagers. It’s also great for game nights when friends and family come over to your house and you don’t have to keep track of everyone’s scores because the board does it all for you.
Please note that soft darts can only be used on electronic boards. This is because soft tips will stick into the board and darts with metal tips (used for steel darts) will scratch the board.
